This book was ok although I won't be suggesting it for my next book club read! A funny, romantic romp that starts with a botched FBI raid and ends with a framed FBI agent and a health food nut on the trace for her missing niece, Pete who has been kidnapped and rekidnapped by wayward Mob thugs and two elderly sisters from India. These characters bring a certain "Stephanie Plum" nature to the story. I found the "romantic" scenes to be a little out of character for the rest of the story. It was set in the Chicagoland area, which was fun.

Sounded cute, had potential, but I just couldn't finish it. I just couldn't like the main characters.

Did a reread in ebook, wasn't bad. Increase from 2/5 to 3.5/5 because I liked Dante and the Guptas (good band name).

This was a really cute story that reminded me a bit of Julie Garwood's FBI series, only funnier. I love all of Elizabeth Hoyt/Julia Harper's historicals, and I'm glad to discover that her contemporaries are just as entertaining!

Julia Harper also writes as Elizabeth Hoyt. While I have enjoyed her other books, this one really didn't work for me. It features a character from her book Hot but I really didn't care about them. There also weren't enough steamy scenes to keep me reading.

If you like your contemporary romances with a lot of action, drama galore and some grins, you should definitely try Julia Harper. Zooey has been annoyed with Dante for some time - although her name for him is Lips of Sin. The final straw is the fact he took her parking place. This may be the coup de grace for Zooey, but (of course) her relationship with Dante is just beginning.

This is the second contemporary romance that I have read by Julia Harper. I am eagerly awaiting the next one. She has a good sense of humor, just the right amount of sex and true love triumphs as it should.
