Based on the preview I read, I expected a little bit more thriller content in this book.
HOWEVER! That’s doesn't mean I didn’t still enjoy it!
I really like the concept, and as I don’t read many modern horror books, or take part in dating sites it was a complete immersion into something I have no experience or connection to!
The first chapter or so hooked me in immediately, and although it does become a bit more ‘chick-lit’, I did enjoy being able to get to know the women a bit more, instead of them just being faceless victims with no personality. It helped me to connect and empathise and it showed a side of them that wasn’t just the horrible situations!
I know a few people that will enjoy this book because the love both chick lit and thrillers, so I will definitely be recommending it to them! Thank you to readers first for sending me a copy!

**Updating my review**

THE PLOT

Paige and Heather are cousin-emies (cousin + enemy). Heather wants to be Paige and even went as far as snatching her mans. Paige, the "cool, easy, breezy girl-next-door" type is trying to live her life and dabbles in a lil online dating. But, watch out, because there's a killer on the loose and his hunting ground is dating apps.

MY OPINNI

............. bro. I've read other Joy Fielding novels, and either she slapped this bad boy together after 6 martinis OR her ghost writer was a 10-year-old. The writing quality was abysmal. Think: "The sky is blue." "I put on my sweater. Then I went outside." (I dead ass think the sweater quote was an actual excerpt from the book). It was appalling how poor the writing was.

The intro gave the book potential, but the rest of the book was so difficult to read. I get distracted by bad writing, so unless the storyline is above and beyond, I'm going to be thinking about the writing quality the entire read.

Also, the only juicy stuff happened at the end. The ending should've been midway through the book; there was way more to explore and explain. I wouldn't even classify this a thriller. You know who the bad guy is, and the rest of the book is Paige and Heather facing off with each other over some bum ass crusty dude.

Le sigh. Do not read this one.

PROS AND CONS
Pros: Because I'm feeling nice... The intro.
Cons: Everything else. Especially the writing quality.

So disappointed with this! The premise of this book was so good. You never know who you can meet on a dating site. To me this book was caught between a few stools. Neither a crime novel, or psychological thriller. To me it started of well and then proceeded to go downhill rapidly! I found my concentration wandering as the story failed to grip me. I also found the plotting ponderous and characters one dimensional and I couldn't engage with any of them. A story of four women with a loose thread connecting them. It was a struggle to read and this was the reason I was so disappointed. I really wanted to enjoy this book and it wasn't just for me. I had heard so many good things about this author and as I said earlier I was left feeling let down.

I have never read a thriller with this much character depth and five POVs.
This book is about the lives of five different women and a killer that creeps into theirs
It doesnt bring you to the edge of your seat (slowburn)
Overall it isnt what I expected But definetly enjoyable
Spoiler
I wished there was a final Battle between Heather and the killer - The End was great but I wanted more from the build up
