Loved some stories and some were so ambiguous I didn’t know what was going on lol. My favorite stories were Idiot Girls, There’s Always Something in the Woods, Miss Infection USA, Invasive Species, and What Blood Hath Wrought.

This book wasn't what I expected. The idea of having an inclusive anthology was really alluring, however, I think the execution could've been much better. Although the book is marketed as having a theme, I don't think that the short stories fit together as seamlessly as I would have hoped. The 'terrors' ranged from actual murderous monsters to the LGBTQIA community. I think if it focused on the monsters and had the queer community as a sub-theme embedded in the context of the stories, the book would have flowed much better. Overall, the stories by themselves were decent, but as a whole, it was a hard pill to swallow.

rating between a 3.5 - 4.  Short stories - some are horror based and some are psychological. Overall I thought most were pretty good.  Only a few I didn't like.  Recommend for those who like dark short stories.

I really wanted to like this anthology, but damn did some of the some of them make it difficult. If you pick this up, the ones I would recommend would be Idjit Girls, The Turning, Kalkriese, The Devil Don’t Come With Horns, The Asylum, Tiddlywinks, and Incident at Bear Creek Lodge.  The rest were pretty hit or miss for me.

The only one I would genuinely say just to skip is Night Shopper. As a trans person, whole thing rubbed me the wrong way. Not well written in my opinion, and didn’t seem to actually understand the trans experience in a meaningful way.

Some fun stories! But mainly boring. Keep in mind I’ve literally never read horror before my opinion means nothing
