I'm afraid to leave him alone now. I'm afraid to be with him. I'm afraid to be without him. I'm afraid the cure won't come in time. I'm afraid my anger is just making everyone angry - at me.

This was desvastating to read but important. I don't usually read plays at all, but I'm glad I gave this one a chance.

An absolutely impactful play that details the early days of HIV/AIDS in NY and the uphill battle that it took to even just raise awareness on it. But it's also a love story, intertwined between the (then) unknown disease and sociopolitical neglect, is all about care and love towards people who are important to you and watching them slowly deteriorate.

While the writing hits you in the heart, I think it would probably project more of an impact when seen live, as it was intended to be. Regardless, Larry Kramer's voice and advocacy during the time and the years onwards remains important and memorable
