Strange concept. Good book with a predictable twist but ok....

Style was great, but I didn't buy Patterson writing with the religious view. I think he's better at facts (even fictitious ones!)than mysticism.

This was a good book.

I have actually read this version and the original version called Virgin. I must say this edition is much better. The characters are more sympathetic and readers can more easily root for the good guys.

When will I learn?!
Every book I've read by this author has ended with disappointment! The premise is always intriguing, in this case; two virgin births while the world is in turmoil, but for some reason they never live up to the expectation.
I know he has a lot of fans out there but I'm not one of them I'm afraid, he has fantastic ideas for novels but his talent is not for telling them.

Patterson's a highly rated author. I'd never read any of his books before but have a friend who loves them and tells me to read them all the time. So i chose this because it sounded intriguing, i wasn't expecting to read it in two days though! The chapters were a nice size so you didn't feel like you were reading forever. The ending was a bit of a shock although the chapter just before gave it away for me, still i wasn't expecting it until then. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would defiantly recommend it to someone who hasn't read him before.
