The Banker’s Wife is full of suspense, mystery, and intrigue, all of my favorites! I enjoyed all of the characters so much, as well as the settings that were so vividly described I felt like I was there. The plot twists were unexpected and amazing. I will definitely read more books by this author!

Really enjoyed this book. Easy to read, constant tension and suspense, good characters. My only complaint was that it was not edited very well - lots of typos and misplaced names.

I really enjoyed this book because it kept me on my toes. The ending was a total surprise. I was so immersed that I definitely did NOT see the last twist coming. The characters intertwine well enough to keep the main plot moving. There is danger, suspense, adventure, drama, and all served with a thrill. It has everything you need to make a great book. This would even be a decent movie if you had the right people cast.

I will need to keep Christina Alger on my watch list because if the rest of her books are this good, I'm going to be one happy reader.

The Banker's Wife by Cristina Alger was the selection for my book club this month. The story begins with two people boarding a plane that is ultimately lost. Anabel is the young widow of the man on the plane. Upon finding out he is dead, she also finds out that his employer was not quite what she thought, and her husband was wrapped up in all kinds of things. She is exposed to a world of secrets via the Swiss bank her husband once worked for, and she begins digging deeper into what he was hiding from her. Simultaneously, a journalist is doing work to uncover the dealings of this bank. The stories run on parallel tracks, but also have some intersections along the way. This was a quick read, and honestly, I think it would translate particularly well on screen (and conveniently, that's going to happen) because there were so many twists and turns of this one. This one had some good suspense that really picked up as it went. This isn't my normal kind of thriller, but it kept me reading as I wanted to know how all the different threads were all going to tie together.

Well done! Narrated with verve and sparkle by Karissa Vacker. Intertwining stories of three strong women and their investigations into Swiss United Bank, fraud, and a number of mysterious deaths. Financial dealings well explained, and the denouement has a lot of untangling to do.

This was okay! The female POVs didn't really stand out enough for me to really keep them straight on audio, especially with only one narrator, but the book was intriguing enough and I kept going because I liked Karissa Vacker's narrations. Not super satisfying but had a good conclusion and was a nice break from psychological & domestic thrillers for me.
