Wow! Another wonderful read by Miss Stanhope.

I just picked this one up and didn’t have a chance to read the previous book before I dove in, however, that wasn’t a problem. The story is easy to follow, even with all the twists and turns. It begins with Alice, who we see moving onto her career as a Paranormal Peace Keeper. As she dives into the mystery of the missing werewolves, she is plagued with questions of herself.

Like with the other books that I’ve read by this author, there is a wonderful balance of good and evil, clarity and confusion, and that’s what makes her writing so addicting. She has an art of carefully weaving so many emotions into each page that the characters naturally seem like real people. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next!

Oh! And I’ll definitely be going back to read book one.

An excellent continuation...

I absolutely love wolf shifters. Amarok is a character I could fall in love with over and over. His effortless charm and strength balance well with his vulnerability.

This installment of the Paranormal Peacekeepers delves into more growth for Alice. We are taken on a journey of Alice navigating a path she should not be allowed to travel as a forbidden hybrid. We grow with her as she opens up to Amarok as they work together on a case that hits closer to home than either of them know.

The ending offers a beautiful closure with a hint of something more. I anxiously await the next book.

A great followup to Tainted Waters. In this novel, you get to see Alice involved with the Paranormal Peacekeepers organization--whether she likes it or not. No dark dwarfs to abuse her this time, but there are plenty of others who dislike and distrust the hybrid witch/elf. You'll find plenty of gore (it is a dark paranormal after all) as the intensity of the story heats up. Great characterization, an intriguing mystery to solve, a heavenly werewolf to admire... and you have yourself your entertainment for the evening. And finally at the end, a secret admirer and a chance for Alice to hope for something more in her life?

Feral by Lucretia Stanhope is an exceedingly enthralling, beautifully written book. It is a paranormal fantasy about Alice, part light-elf and part-witch, a hybrid; which are considered illegal. When Alice is given her first mission, she has her mind made to escape and run away.
Amarok is assigned a new partner after the death of his previous one, Mark (I haven't read the first book of the series, so I don't know if this is explained there). They both have to pretend to be a mated couple as a cover up and investigate the disappearance of three wolves from a pack.
The first half of the book was okay, but the second half, where the mystery actually starts to unravel was totally gripping. I was suspicious of every character I came across. But the thing which was just ughh (my emotions!) to me was that after the mystery ended, there was another bigger one knocking on the doorsteps AND I CAN't READ IT!
Anxiously waiting for the next book *please don't let it be a love triangle*
