LIVING for the first and the last stories. The weakest additions were definitely the center-most anthologies. Still, this is how Disney should have treated Jack Sparrow- as the interesting anti-hero side character that he is instead of the main character. Also, if you miss the Infernal Devices, treat yourself with this book. One of the stories will not disappoint.

Magnus Bane is my favorite shadow hunter chronicles character! He's freaking wonderful and if you disagree, please leave and reconsider life.

I really enjoyed getting to know a little more history about Magnus Bane. I was hoping we would get the story about how he found his father, since he mentioned it in CoHF. I loved getting to know Caterina, Ragnor, Raphael, and even a sneak of the Herondales and Tessa.

I especially loved the chapters with Alec, they were very rewarding, and i'm actually surprised that Alec made the first move. I loved Magnus' adventures in Peru.

I definitely recommend reading after you've read City of Heavenly Fire (make sure you've read TID before as well).

I love The Shadowhunter Chronicles, and I love Magnus Bane. So I was sure I was going to love The Bane Chronicles, and I did. Getting to know one of my favourite characters outside of his business with the shadowhunters, know more about his thoughts and who he is was fantastic. But also seeing him live through key moments mentioned in The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments made the reading experience even better. Seeing other characters later on in their lives, or characters we did not know too much about was also great. Everything is tied together and I loved it. It made me laugh, it broke my heart and I loved it. It's the best way I can describe it really.
