Pretty interesting "insider look" at the meteoric rise and tragic fall of Nirvana. The author was the band's manager during the Nevermind era and was a close friend of both Kurt and Courtney. I learned some interesting things that I hadn't known about this legendary musician.

A very interesting and intimate look into the evolution of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana.

Danny Goldberg was more than a band manager to Nirvana but a friend and confidant, especially to Kurt Cobain, at the height of their career. He is able to share the good and the bad, without idolizing or demonizing Cobain, in this look behind the music scene of the early nineties punk rock and grunge surge. So sit back, maybe unplug with Unplugged in the background, and enjoy.

Kurt and Courtney through rose colored glasses. Still, a refreshing take on a side of Kurt that’s not talked/written about often.

I've read a ton of media about Nirvana in the past 20+ years and I didn't expect much from this book when I saw it and picked it up. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. Much more focused on Kurt the businessman than anything I've ever read and very interesting.

I love Kurt Cobain. I wanted to read this book because it was about Kurt Cobain. Most of it was stuff I already knew and then there were a few surprises which was great. This wasn’t any mind-blowing reading experience, but it was fine and I didn’t hate it. I don’t know if the author could get his head any further up Courtney Love’s anal cavity, but he sure did try. There was some eye rolling while reading it, but there was also some crying (I mean, we all know how it ends, right?) I can’t hate a book that made me feel things and I enjoyed the experience of reading it. And I’ll always love Kurt Cobain.
