Prof. Vandiver is an excellent lecturer. She made the ancient history, culture, and the enduring myth approachable and understandable. This lecture series added so much to my reading and understanding of the Odyssey.

Loved this. I thought Vandiver brought so much out of the text that I hadn't picked up in my 2 readings of the Odyssey. This was obviously a continuation of the Iliad course, especially because the last chapter was about the excavation of Troy.
