This is perfect for fans of “The Naturals” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and the TV Show “Criminal Minds”! I will say it is a little more gory than I thought, and it slightly leans toward horror/thriller side of mystery, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This was a highly bingeable book that will leave you guessing and slightly creeped out in the best way.  I am so excited to see that there is a sequel and I will be reading it immediately.

I also enjoyed that on the audiobook, there were multiple narrators to distinguish the changes in POVs.

Age rating: 17+ (language, violence, gore, mutilation, ptsd)

SUCH a good book. ik some people don’t like it, but i personally enjoyed it a lot. finished it in three days. it had me on the edge of my seat. i love how Emma, the mc, isn’t protrayed as a helpless little girl. she’s strong and has attitude, but also is relatable and realistic. i also love cooper and bell. i really love how different the characters are. the gutmunsson twins are suuuper interesting characters. i enjoyed reading scenes with them. this is a dark book, with descriptions of awful murder scenes and trauma. so if you’re easily shaken, maybe pick up a different book.

I loved this book! The characters were all very well written and the writing style is unique but easy to get used to. Emma is an amazing character and her growth was very well done. Simon is intriguing and complicated and creepy and I really hope we get more of him in book 2. Overall and amazing book with great characters and great interactions between those characters.

This book was way different from what I normally read, but I still really enjoyed it! You can tell the author took a lot of time researching and it really payed off! I will definitely be reading the second one at some point! I feel like this book is really under hyped sadly (i mean look at the cover it's gorgeous). So overall I really enjoyed it! I feel like the ending was perfect as well.

This was so good! Book hangover worthy!

I loved the concept - two teens brought in to interview serial killers to catch an active serial killer. Bell was the son of a murdered officer, and Lewis was held captive by a serial killer. I thought all of the characters were interesting and well written in their traumas including the killers. It felt very Criminal Minds meets Hannibal meets Split.  I also felt like the book was wrapped up nicely which is hard to do sometimes in a standalone novel. It was very Satanic panic era vibe which I always appreciate.  Would read again!
