I just adore Laura Pavlov’s books and this one is no different! Under the Stars offers up great banter, chemistry, pining, sweetness, and spice all in the backdrop of a cozy small town workplace romance. I loved Georgia and Maddox. She balances him out and both of them really wanted to be what the other needed. I appreciated the baggage that Maddox had to confront and think that it was handled really well. Also enjoyed that there wasn’t a traditional third act breakup. I couldn’t put this book down and am already dying to read the next book in this series. Definitely recommend for fans of grumpy (but sweet) billionaires!

Moderate: Injury/Injury detail and Infidelity

easiest 5 stars ever… i cried (noteworthy!!)
The story of Maddox and Georgia was everything I could've ever wanted and then some! Maddox is a grumpy CEO of a publishing house, and Georgia is newly graduated and trying to get on her feet when she applies to be Maddox's personal assistant. From the start, there is tension between the two characters since they are both pretty different from each other. Maddox is a lone wolf who focuses on work and that is about it. Georgis is a family-oriented bundle of sunshine that Maddox doesn't understand.
This book! Y'ALL THIS BOOK!!! There is a very high chance of this being a favorite of the year. The banter, emotions, growth, EVERYTHING! I loved this book so so much. Maddox never planned on doing relationships, but when he and Georgia start as a "just once/as friends" situation, he quickly realizes that he may not be able to let her go.
I very much enjoyed the siblings' aspects and text thread again! Georgia and her siblings are hilarious and I love their protectiveness and love for each other. Getting a sneak peek of Hugh and Lila from book one [book:Into the Tide|75364123] AND their cousins from the Honey Mountain series, was so much fun.
I loved every minute of this book, cover to cover! Also to be noted, there is no third-act breakup!! There is conflict, of course, but all of the conflicts made sense in relation to the characters and their pasts, so I was never upset. I did get sad, and yes I cried!
Overall, I cannot wait for the next one! Laura Pavlov just gets better and better
