Laura Pavlov's contemporary romances have really been hitting the spot for me as of late. I adored her Honey Mountain series, and the Cottonwood Cove series is turning out to be just as great. I had so much fun reading this newest release in that series.

What made it so much fun? It's a grumpy/sunshine in the office romance setting. Georgia is an upbeat, outgoing college graduate looking to get her start as a personal assistant to the boss at a publishing house just having moved to the small town of Cottonwood Cove. Maddox is the demanding, grumpy Bossman who has given up on love and relationships. Maddox growls at Georgia and she growls in the happiest way back. The banter between them was fantastic and it only cranked up the level chemistry already coming off them in waves. The way they worked through their attraction at work and what to do about it was highly entertaining. I couldn't wait for them to act on their feelings and be together.

Pavlov always adds in a little emotion to her contemporary romances, but she amped it up big time in this book. I could see something coming, but truly wasn't expecting it or anything after it to happen. I shed a couple of tears during while reading. Even with the big emotions at play at times during Under the Stars, it was still a happy read.

I almost forgot to mention a couple of my favorites. Unusual sports was such a big win for me, as was the 70's music. And the Maddox and Gracie combination had me smiling a ton. So, yeah. I loved this one. I highly recommend it.
