Never have I ever

Laughed so much from a book in such a long time. You had me from the first page and by the end of chapter 1 I was sending the link to my friends. Well done!

I have never laughed so hard in my life.

This book starts off with the most hilarious of openings and continues on throughout. If you’re in need of a pick me up, there’s nothing better than the banter and unbelievable things that occur to Mal in her quest to find a job. Belly bursting laughter is what this evokes, so be prepared to get odd looks if in public...totally worth it though.

New author to me and this has by far become a favorite.

A job ad in the paper for a ‘professional fluffer’ gets completely misinterpreted by Mallory so she goes for it, even after the weird conversation with the person on the phone, what could go wrong? She really had no idea what a professional fluffer was, but it was not what she was thinking! I could picture the scene from the book and I was crying with laughter.

It had everything, humour, friendship, love, of course, there is love it’s a romantic comedy and a high school reunion.

From the first page, it had my thorough attention and it is one of those books where you really should put it down because you need sleep but you say ‘just one more chapter’. I have not read anything from Julia Kent before but I will definitely be reading more if her books are all as funny as this is.
I’m not giving any spoilers, apart from the blurb but I would definitely recommend it, go read it now.

The beginning of this book was stellar. Serious misunderstanding lands the former valedictorian on a porn set, tasked with assisting the male performer with “readiness.” That entire scene is spectacular. The good girl ends up in a picture with an oiled up naked porn star behind her, anal beads lying beside her, a dildo in her hand, and her face near the crotch of her former crush and the the quarterback. There is some really good banter throughout the book but parts of this story dragged. Her friends skirted the line between funny and mean part of the time. They didn’t take her seriously and dismissed her choices because they wanted her to do something else.
We have all mistakenly texted someone a message meant for someone else but this woman dies it all the time. You’d think she’d check before hitting send on any message ever.
It is definitely on the sweeter side, not much steam in this one. It was a quick, fun read.

I tried to give this a fair shake for the fourth time but I can't get past the first ten percent of the book. There's naïve and there's oblivious but the FMC's state of ignorance is on another level entirely.
