This book will make you want to want to delete all your social media accounts and boycott YouTube… eye opening, shocking, appalling. My jaw actually dropped at a couple points when reading about how Facebook executives responded concerns brought to them. The past few years there has been increasing awareness generally about how social media is causing problems in our societies, but having it all laid out with worldwide examples of its disastrous effects is pretty damning.
One of my top books this year. Hard to get through because of the heavy material, but well worth the read. Should be required reading honestly.

This book is terrifying, but so good! It’s incredibly thorough and thoughtful. It has completely changed the way I look at the world, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
