I’m still enjoying this series very, very much! I simply adore these two! In this book, we get to know about Jeff’s fiancé's parents (and they are fascinating!), we are witness to some pre-wedding drama (not between the bride and groom, thankfully), and to see Sebastian acting as Mycroft Holmes in a theatrical play based on “The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans” written by (of course!) Sebastian McCabe. If this wasn’t enough, there is, of course, murder *laughs*

There is something truly addictive in these stories, I can never have enough. Fortunately, I still have some books to go through :D

This is an adequate read that would have greatly benefited from a more thorough editor. The story itself was interesting, and the overall plot didn't disappoint. It did fall more into the "amateur sleuth stumbles onto solution" camp more than into the "amateur sleuth actually solves mystery" camp, and reflects many modern mystery series by being more involved in the lives of the main characters than in the mystery per se.

The good: quirky characters; down-home feel; I didn't guess whodunit until close to the end.
The bad: factual inconsistencies; too many mental asides by the main character; main character needs to STOP with all the talking about women's bodies (surely most men don't go around cataloging all the attractive features of every woman they meet?); a good editor would help the polish of the book and also weed out the repetitive descriptions (brown eyes, check; gold-flecked, check; honey-colored hair, yup, for the hundredth time).
