not only does fruits basket have amazing characters and storylines, but it also teaches a lot of great lessons and touches on a lot of heavy subjects so well. god i love this manga

i know Shigure is a manipulative bastard but he’s such a cute friend to Hatori - he brought him to the family vacation house to distract him from Kana’s wedding and let him relax by reading

This volume was so funny! I loved the interaction between Hanajima and the three girls from the Prince Yuki fan club.
And we got to meet another Sohma. Kisa is so cute! Her story was so sad though. I'm glad Tohru was able to connect with her. And seeing how Yuki related to her was interesting. More of his hidden past came out.

Kisa's story always gets to me.

Spoiler I live for every single Kyo/Tooru interaction.

I also love seeing how Yuki is getting happier with who he is in every volume. It's heartwarming.

Two main issues really stood out in this volume-

1)The horrible effect bullying can have on people. Poor Kisa, she was the youngest Sohma to be introduced and she has suffered horribly at the hands of her classmates. Picking on people for their difference's is wrong, even if they chose to look like that (though Kisa didn't). I'm happy though to finaliy see the tiger Sohma, though I did expect her to be more impressive, I'm also glad it's Kisa. Adorable little Kisa...

2)The girls in that school have problems. Seriously like half the female population of the school are in a Yuki fan club.WTH!!! How does that not scream crazy to you. Not only that, their attitude towards Tohru for hanging around with him is borderline psychotic. Lucky she has Hanajima to look out for her... :)
