The perfect story about the fan-artist dynamic and where we draw the line, the pros and cons of being famous, friendship, fanfiction and anxious burnout gifted kids. One of my favorite binge-reads, as usual, Alice's writing is very easy to read and her humour is completely untouchable, hugely recommend to get out of reading slumps!

Cute, with a decent amount of character growth. Doesn't seem to actually tie in to the rest of the universe it's supposedly part of.

ALICE OSEMAN IS A GOD.
This is the perfect book of teenage obsession and fan girl culture, told from the dual perspective of a fan and a member of the boy and she is obsessed with. I feel so seen as an obsessive fan girl, but we're not all weird and creepy, we have hearts and souls and so so much passion and love for people/things. I fucking loved this.

Oseman doesn’t fail, a very good reflection on fandom and our culture around boy bands and shipping.
