This was a solid third book in the Thursday Murder Club series. If you've read books 1 and 2 and liked them, chances are you'll enjoy this too. 

My one 'complaint' with Richard Osman's books is that the murder mystery plot feels a bit convoluted sometimes. It's not like a classic Arthur Conan Doyle story where the mystery is a puzzle the reader can solve if only they are clever enough. There's too much going on in the background.

That said, the fantastic characters carry the story through so it doesn't feel like a major problem. I still had a good time.

Steven's dementia is featured more heavily in this book. I found it a bit rough. I can imagine this would be a particularly difficult read if you have personal experience of a family member being affected by dementia

I feel like Richard Osman is hitting his stride with this books. He weaves multiple storylines while keeping the characters just as rich, funny and loveable as ever. I love reading this series and I can't wait for the next one to come out.
