The second book in the City Love series.

Sadie has broken up with Austin and is trying to move on, but dang it, he just won't let her. Darcy wanted to keep everything light, but she may be falling hard for a boy and her ex returns trying to get back in her good graces. Rosanna is having jealousy issues and just can't seem to fit with her rich playboy boyfriend.

Second book same as the first and I didn't like this one either. I don't know why I continue to read these. It is possible that they are mindless and quick reads. However, the vapid nature of the main characters make me question my sanity for continuing to read them.

*Lost in Love is the second book in Colasanti's City Love trilogy which begins with City Love. This review contains major spoilers for the first book.*

Sadie thought Austin was her soulmate and that her summer before college was going to be filled with the epic love she'd always dreamed of. When Sadie finds out that Austin has been lying to her, she isn't sure how to reconcile her dream guy with the flawed one trying so hard to make amends and win her back.

Darcy planned to spend her first summer in New York City exploring and having lots of drama-free boy adventures. Summer Fun Darcy is just getting the hang of things when Darcy's ex shows up in New York to win her back. One grand gesture can say a lot. But can one flight really make up for weeks of heartbreak?

Rosanna never expected to find love when she moved to New York for college--especially not with an amazing guy who is wealthy like D. Now that things are getting serious with D, Rosanna has to decide how much she's willing to reveal about her past before they move forward.

After a month together in the city they all love Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna know they're lucky to have found each other as roommates and friends. They'll need each other more than ever as they try to figure out what comes next in Lost in Love (2016) by Susane Colasanti.

Lost in Love is the second book in Colasanti's City Love trilogy which begins with City Love.

Each girl is at a crossroad in Lost in Love and forced to make some hard decisions about who they want to be (and sometimes who they want to be with) as the series moves forward.

Still reeling from news about Austin's secret marriage, Sadie has to pull herself together after their breakup and her subsequent depression. Sadie is honest with herself and readers about how hard it is to move forward and she is willing to put in the work to get to her next, best self--no easy feat with Austin badgering her for a second chance.

Darcy thought she had put heartbreak behind her but she doesn't quite know what it means when her ex-boyfriend flies all the way to New York to try and win her back. This plot thread takes an interesting turn and adds a bit of mystery to the story as Darcy and readers try to figure out if there are ulterior motives at play.

Rosanna, meanwhile, is trying to reconcile her dwindling funds in New York with the lavish lifestyle her boyfriend has to offer. Still haunted by her past in Chicago, Rosanna is suspicious of anyone offering her genuine friendship (or something more) when she still feels so broken. Most of Rosanna's arc focuses on her struggles with honesty and balancing who she is with who she wants to become in her new home. While the decision again leaves some things uncertain for book three, her final resolution here is empowering.

Colasanti delivers another fast-paced, summery diversion with New York City as a vibrant backdrop in this story that alternates third person point of view between Sadie, Darcy, and Rosanna. With romance, adventure and a lot of self-discovery, Lost in Love is another excellent City Love installment that will leave fans satisfied but eager for the conclusion of this contemporary trilogy.

I read the first book in this series a long time ago, so when I started this book it took me a bit to remember what happened in the first book. The characters were compelling, but I had a hard time connecting with them. Sadie, Darcy, and Rosanna’s more annoying qualities took the front seat in this book making it hard for me to understand their point of view. Some of their issues and problems seem trivial in the grand scheme of things. For Sadie, I loved her journey in this story to love herself. Darcy was as badass as always, and I thought her struggle with her feelings was beautifully written. Rosanna’s journey to her new self was raw and emotional. I liked how for Darcy the boy drama took more of a front seat but for Rosanna and Sadie it was less important in this book. In this story, New York City was again it’s own character. The author wrote about this city in such loving detail that I truly felt like I was there walking the streets with the girls. The ending was a bit abrupt leaving me scratching my head as to how that was the end. I’m hoping the third book wraps up all loose end nicely.

Picking up where the first book left off, Darcy, Sadie, and Rosanna are still in the middle of a life changing summer discovering themselves, love, and how to deal with life's challenges. Darcy's ex-boyfriend Logan arrives and she works to figure out where she stands with him. Sadie tries to get over Austin after finding out that he is married, but he keeps turning up in her life and trying to convince her to give him another chance. Meanwhile, Rosanna is going on vacation with D, struggling with finances, and trying to discover why a girl named Addison is trying to do as much damage in her life as possible. Each girl has to balance looking for love and a new adult life in New York.

The lives and various challenges of the girls weave together well, and the reader will root for all of them to succeed even though they are all different and working on discovering how to handle different parts of their lives. The ending of the book again feels very sudden, but the last book of the series will hopefully have more of a conclusion for fans of the series. The differences in what the girls have to handle keep the book interesting, and the characters have a lot of variety. While the book isn't stunning and doesn't have a lot going on in it other than boy drama, it's enjoyable and many readers will likely look forward to the ending of the series to see what happens to Darcy, Rosanna, Sadie, and the guys they interact with.

this book was so good!! I absolutely feel in love with this trilogy when I read the first one last year. contemporaries and NYC are basically my favorite things ever. just all around it's such a great plot and story with super awesome characters. I think I like this one better than the 1st because we got to go more depth with each character and discover a lot more about them. it was interesting to start seeing their back stories and them as characters. I think Darcy is definitely my favorite. she is so sassy and I love her outfits/shoes. Sadie got on my nerves a lot in the beginning because all it was about was Austin and all this stuff that kept dragging on. but towards the end she got better and learned she didn't need Austin and I liked that. Rosanna, I'm still not sure how I feel about her. sometimes I love her for being independent but then other times she can get on nerves. but I really like her with D and I like him as a character
oh and what was that thing with Darcy and Jude??? like I love Jude so much and then Logan comes and ruins everything. like??
and with Sadie I like that Danny guy (much more Austin) Austin is getting on my last nerve. he is being such a psycho, and reminds me of my friend's ex (who is completely crazy
overall though I really liked this book a lot and I cannot wait to read the 3rd!!!

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | As a note, an e-galley of this novel was sent to me via Edelweiss by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not effect my opinions in any way.

Because of my love for the introduction of this trilogy, Lost in Love was at the tip top of my to-read list this spring. It did not disappoint–in fact, it is the perfect novel for any romantic to have on hand this summer. Susane Colasanti shows her writing chops again with a heartfelt summer adventure filled with romance and friendship and the age old questioning of those entering adulthood.

Back it again are our girls–Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna. Each girl faces a world of changes with the backdrop of New York City just in the distance. When we left them in City Love, the trio were navigating their new lives and new loves, all the while befriending one another and exploring their contrasting personalities.

Drama was at an abundance when it came down to a few flaws in their new lives. Sadie’s found her soulmate, Austin, only to discover he isn’t at all who she that he was–that he was keeping a huge secret from her. He’s married. When we meet up with Sadie again, our eternal optimist is struggling with their break up and needs time to get back into the right state of mind to deal with this news.

3.5.I've given this an extra half star as I did enjoy it a fair bit more than the first installment. What prevents me from rating this any higher is how much I cringe reading some of Sadie's chapters.Yes I know she has a positive outlook but it feels way too much and I can't imagine her as a real person the way I can the other characters.

This could be all on me, because I didn't realize this was a serial, and started with this book, but I didn't find myself that invested in the outcome of anything for any of these girls. I was so disappointed in some of their choices, but I mean, it did deliver the soapy OTT drama I was looking for.
