Having read all the Discworld novels, after Sir Terry passed away I decided to try these for a quick fix. The science covers a bit of everything, from the Big Bang to Evolution of life on Earth. The authors do their best to encourage scientific thought and common sense and to dispel misconceptions, always in a witty way. Chapters on science alternate with an enjoyable story in which the wizards of Unseen University investigate the same subjects. Fun and engaging, just one minor quibble: a book about science should have got the date of the Moon landing right...

I enjoyed this novel Discworld story with chapters of science thrown in between.  I thought the way the science progressed from maths to physics to chemistry to biology was really well done.  Looking forward to the other books in this series.
The audiobook was narrated by Michael Fenton Stevens and Stephen Briggs.

After reading several books on cosmology I am glad to learn that universe was created by the wizards at UU!

Informative, interesting but sometimes too long and complicated (probably due to the audiobook format)
Well narrated

Not nearly as entertaining as I had hoped. Too much explanations of normal science, not enough kooky whimsical discworld "science"

This combines current (at publication) science with the wizards of Discworld. Kindof weird, but it can be a slog. Think of it as a documentary that simply uses Unseen University to portray it. Second half was more interesting for me.

NOT part of the Discworld series!
