When I picked up this book, I was looking for a lighthearted and slightly smutty romance, and boy was I not disappointed. This novel follows two characters who have a hot and steamy week together over spring break but end up unable to connect with each other afterwards. Fast forward a few years and they finally are reconnected and able to catch up, and Blakely is finally able to tell Keegan he is a father. I love a second chance romance, and I loved being able to see not only a second chance romance, but a second chance sister relationship. I loved seeing the characters mature and step into the roles they needed to take on to survive, but also able to enjoy life. I was disappointed in the direction the book ended up taking towards the end with the crazy action movie plot line, but I still adored the story overall.
Moderate: Death, Drug use, Suicide, Suicide attempt, and Death of parent
