An enjoyable page-turner, with enough variance of character perspectives to keep me hooked. The plot itself is a little predictable, but isn't necessarily the focus of the story as much as the characters and their relations to others.

Pretty entertaining read but maybe a little too long and I felt like the reveal of the twist was kinda anticlimactic and the ending was rushed

In detention, five students at Bayview High become suspects when Simon, a gossip app creator, is found dead. With Simon set to expose secrets, the remaining students are all under suspicion. The plot is engaging with well-executed twists, though characters can feel exaggerated. McManus’s writing bridges YA and adult readers effectively.
