Take a feisty nun and add the 4 Horsemen with hitman energy and forced proximity. You end up with this delicious novel. I haven't read a horsemen novel yet and now I want more!
This book is part of the Deadly Sin Series (I have not read it but now I want to). You don't have to read that series to understand this one, but some characters will cross over.
Shadow, Smoke, Spook and Shade are just walking red flags that consume you. I was instantly drawn into their presence, and I couldn't get enough of them. They clearly have trauma from their past and instead of figuring it out they act out on it. I can't wait till the next book to find out more about their past and what they went through to become who they are. But Shadow and Spook are freaking ADORABLE! They are the couple that just tries to find joy and peace with each other. Shadow is like the lost puppy when he confronts his feelings and tries taking Spook out on an actual date.
Fawn is that badass FMC that takes no sh*t but will obey when necessary. When the guys went to do their job, they discovered Fawn with her uncle and thought they were into some freaky stuff (not realizing he's her uncle). But in truth, he was abusive and practically brainwashed her into thinking it will "help" her not be like her mother. Once she's out of his grasps, she becomes who she truly is meant to be and the more she came out of her shell, the more powerful she became. She even can change the most ruthless of them all.
This book was fantastic and just consumes your time. I got lost in the story and didn't even realize I finished. Cassie and Story end this book in a very cruel cliffhanger that had me angsty. January can't come soon enough!

I have so many questions about this book.
The deadly seven was such a fantastic series so I was so excited for this one about the four horsemen, especially as we get to meet old favourites from there.
Fawn is such an odd choice for a FMC, there is so much we have yet to learn about her and why she is important, so looking forward to finding out. She’s definitely turning out to be an asset to the horsemen and seemingly unafraid after the initial shock of being kidnapped.
The horsemen are damaged individuals, only relying on each other so adding a nun they’ve kidnapped is a volatile mix.
Who is the stranger with similar skills and knowledge about them taunting them and what does he want and why?
I have so many questions after reading this and am intrigued by this action packed story.
Can’t wait to see where we go next.

This is my first book by either of these authors and it was amazing. They had me hooked from the very beginning. I read it in 2 hours it was so good! I do wish I would have read the Deadly Seven series first but I’ll be reading that next. I’m really loving the different take on the 4 Horsemen.

Oh my sweet baby jesus yes, yes, yes was this book so delicious. I was hooked from the start and couldn't put this book down. Fawn has the misfortune of meeting 4 men who call themselves the Horsemen after they break into her uncle's church
and take her uncle and decide they’re going to keep her and use her as collateral, but the longer they're around her the tide is changing, but now they've realized someone is taunting them that could be from they're past. There are many thing's at play in this book as it does end on a cliffhanger that has me needing the next book.

The Devils That Take Her is book one of the 4 Horsemen series. It is also the first book by wither of these authors that I have read.
It is set in the same world as the Deadly Seven series which I have not yet read. This book would have been 5 stars if I had read the Deadly Seven series first, as this book alludes to characters and events that happened in this series and I was a bit lost.
It was fun when you got to see Fan start to get under the skin of Shade, Smoke Shadow and Spook (my favourite of the bunch so far)
There is a cliffhanger that gave me a WTF moment, so I can't wait to see what comes next.
And just to let you know, this is really slow burn, so I can see it picking up in the next book.

The Deadly Duo do it again with this gripping first in series . Someone is messing with the Horsemen but they don’t know who so they get Dimitri , Liam & Donavan to look into things but they find nothing . I can’t wait for book 2 and I’m eagerly awaiting the Horsemen and the Deadly Seven meeting it should be fun .

This is my first book by these authors and it did not disappoint and I’m now going to read Deadly Seven 😅 This was a great start to this series and I’m excited to see what happens and who this mystery man is.
