I just kept thinking ‘WHAT IS HAPPENING’ whilst I read this book, but I also couldn’t put it down and read it in 2 sittings 😂

I think it’s a book I need to come back to when I’m not terribly tired, because there were SO many characters and plots to keep up with 😳 The (usually) simple task of trying to list the characters gave me a headache, so imagine trying to read this whilst ill!

In saying that though, the writing hooks you in and as I said above, makes you not want to put it down 🙃

3.5 (4 at a push) stars out of 5 stars for me, thanks ✨

The way St. John Mandel's brain must work to have written a thing like this is utterly astonishing. I absolutely devoured this book in under a day. It sinks its teeth into you during the first few pages and holds on for dear life. And I doubt it'll let me go for a while yet.
