Nick Offerman offers hilarious and humble tales in this honest memoir. You can't help but hear Ron Swanson's voice narrate this deep and interesting look inside Nick's struggles and victories. I can't wait to read more of his work.

There is not one aspect of this that I'm enjoying or finding compelling so I'm out. In 2021 I am going to make an effort to be honest with myself and DNF books if I'm not enjoying them even if they're books I own physically already and irresponsibly paid money for. I just have to take my book-lumps and use them as a teachable moment: Stop Buying Books.
As for this one, I'm going to put a hold on the ebook in Libby to ctrl+F any Amy Poehler stories and call that just about Enough of Nick Offerman for me for the whole rest of my life, thanks.

This book, despite the four months it took me to finish it, was by no means bad. Towards the end I found myself much more invested in the stories being told. But something always seemed more pressing, more interesting, more immediate that I needed to read/do/accomplish.
I found my mind wandering while holding the covers open. Jokes were missed, the subtext flashing by without notice. It took me awhile to jibe with the two toned A and B style chapter set up, and I really didn’t understand the structure until midway through, and I can’t say I was much of a fan upon figuring it out. An enjoyable, though for me very long read for sure.

Offerman's famed dryness doesn't translate all that well to the page, this would probably be better as an audiobook. The memoir bits are considerably more enjoyable than the preachy bits, which can be grating, but fade off about midway through.

Some parts were kind of boring, and some where hilarious. Wish it was a little bit more funny, felt dry in some parts of the book. The beginning of the book started off really strong, but then started to get boring as it went on. I still love Nick Offerman though!
