I really enjoyed this book. I was very intrigued by these characters, Avery was a very eccentric therapist and I found her to be quite an interesting character. This was definitely a story where I was questioning every character, I didn’t trust anyone and yet I was still wrong. The ending still caught me off guard. It was a really good read, I did feel like the ending was rushed a bit so that’s the only reason it got 4 stars from me.

This was interesting. Not the most tightly-woven plot, but it's still a thrilling read.

There were too many possibilities, but due to that, most of them felt underdeveloped, or started off as too interesting but end up having no point.

Marissa and Matthew Bishop seem to have it all. The perfect life. Until Marissa reveals that she had an affair. Hoping to fix her marriage, Marissa signs her and Matthew up for counseling with Avery, who practices unconventional methods in her therapy sessions. As Marissa and Matthew progress in their therapy sessions with Avery, it becomes apparent that nothing is as it seems. Each character is hiding secrets in this domestic thriller of betrayal and lies that will ultimately change their lives forever.

I couldn't put this one down! Having been my first read by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed this four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️thriller. I found myself trying to uncover each of the character's intentions throughout the book, as it was obvious that they are all hiding something. Coupled with short and suspenseful chapters, this was a quick read. I highly recommend it to any fans of domestic thrillers!

*mind blown

Just a slight trigger warning that some of the plot did cause me anxiety so much so that I had to look up what happens mid book and then finished reading lol
