Lucy Foley is an auto-read author for me and she delivers yet another suspenseful read with The Paris Apartment. This novel is more of a slow burn and less thrilling than the other two I've read, but was enjoyable nevertheless.

This didn't feel like a whodunit and was predictable in some parts, though there were some nice surprises thrown in towards the end. The reveal didn't wow me and felt underwhelming because sad to say, it's quite commonplace in real life.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I prefer The Hunting Party and The Guest List. Both have a special place in my heart as one is my first Foley novel while the other is my very first BOTM order.

It was a little hard to keep up at first with all the different characters and back and forth between them, but overall I thought it came together well and I enjoyed it!

I enjoyed this book. The short chapters made it a quick, easy read. Nothing earth shattering but it was clever and kept me entertained.

After reading The Guest List, I was very excited to get my hands on The Paris Apartment.

Similarly to The Guest List, this book was told from many points of view. I will say, I did have a hard time distinguishing between past and present. I actually had to reread a few of the paragraphs to determine when the chapter was taking place.

The chapters are relatively short so you’re able to get through the book quite quickly.

I honestly really enjoyed the premise of the book. I liked the majority of the characters and I loved that there was a Peloton reference in there as well. I was quite surprised by the ending and did not see that coming. However I will say that I thought The Guest List was a bit better. But I am glad that I took the time to read this one.
