Liked it a lot, and I definitely want to read the second book.

Very similar to ACOTAR. Mary Sue main character. Problematic romantic tropes.

I’m not entirely sure what I thought of this one. I think I liked it? But something about it didn’t entirely draw me in. Yet at the same time I couldn’t stop reading? There were parts that flowed wonderfully and others that were hard to get through. I think I felt it was more plot and world driven than by characters, and perhaps that’s where my divide came in. I prefer things with characters that suck me in and make me want to know more. It seemed rather like the characters were secondary to plot and the world. Not a bad read, certainly not the worst thing I read, and entertaining enough! I’m glad I didn’t pay money for it. I’ll likely read the next installment.

Writing was too elementary, romance too strong

I put this off for so long and as usual, I'm regretting it! So well done! Definitely full of the typical tropes but if ya fae warriors are your thing then this is it. I do not say that in a ugly way. I LOVED this book. Very well written. And I'm sorry for team Wilder babes but FRAZER IS HER MATE!

Not for me

Some times a story just feels like everything is set up so that the author can make the big ole journey of self discovery happen in the world they created. And along the way they forget to make you give a damn about the characters.
100 pages in I still didn't know why I was supposed to care about the main character.

I don't quite know where to start. There were so many beautiful, and heatwrenching moments in this book. The tone and imagery alone were enough to keep me interested, but the plot and subplots where something else entirely. This story has so many moving parts, and it was so satisfying as several of the pieces began to come together. My only complaint is that I wasnt aware that it was to be a part of a series and not a stand alone. if you are inpatient and don't like having to wait to get the satisfaction of a conclusion, I would recommend you wait until more books are published because I can promise you, it is going to leave you wanting more.
