Okay, I’ll be honest. I only picked this up because my dad’s family is from Dumaguete, and I love, love, love the place! To be fair to this book, though, I ended up liking it as well. The grammar and syntax left a lot to be desired, and the plot was rather simplistic. But it was a feel-good story, light and breezy, and it put me in mind of enjoying a good gossip session with a friend who’d just gotten herself a new boyfriend over the summer
