Rachel Gibson writes some of the best couples that I have read, and Kate and Rob were no exceptions. The chemistry was amazing, and I just couldn't put it down.

Another great read.

I started my Valentines Day pout a little early this year...But regardless of the title, I was in much more of a Valentines Day mood once I finished this beauty! I read this book because I needed something that I could get through in a day, after it took me so long to read some other books, I needed a refresher, and this book was perfect! I got addicted to this book, and I just could not put it down! This book was witty, charming, and funny! The characters were fresh and interesting, mysterious, and fun. They were well-developed as was the story line. The more I read the more I found out about the characters, and the more I wanted to keep reading to find out more! The main characters were hilarious, and the small town was great, in all their gossiping glory. It was a really fun and heart-felt story, something I got into quickly and was able to lose myself in. This book was well-written and cute, but also had some action and great one-liners. Most of the time I had to laugh out loud! It has been a really long time since a book made me do that, and it felt great! This was a great book, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the Chinooks Hockey Team series!

Terrible. Bad writing, sexist and homohobic characters, and omg the cringe sex scenes. His penis touched her cervix? Really???

I didn't like them so much. The mmc was kind of jerk all the time and the fmc was like she didn't have so much self respect? I don't know it was kind of weird their dynamic. Also it has no sports in the story. The mmc was in hockey in the past but that was it so I don't know why it is labeled as sports.

Still fun the second time around, even fifteen plus years later! If you haven't read Rachel Gibson's Chinooks Hockey Team series you are missing out! This is a steamy open romance set in Chinooks Hockey team world but doesn't take place in Seattle, rather a small Idaho town where former hockey player Rob has established his own sports store and retreated from life. Kate too has taken a break from her life in Seattle to help her grandfather with his store. The two have sizzling chemistry but get off to a rocky start. Eventually the can't resist their feelings but have to figure out if what they both want out of life will work together. The funniest part for me was the whipped cream bikini scene! Do people still do that?? I feel like it's such a 90s/Varsity Blues thing! Great nostalgia factor though and this was decent on audio.

This book did not age well. Feels very "OK Boomer-ish"
