This book was wild and there was a lot going on. It opens with a plane crash that is just….never mentioned again. Which is a choice. The hero did grow a lot and I did enjoy the book. But there were just so many threads. The author did a pretty good job of bringing them all together in the end. Except the plane crash. It bugs me that it was just dropped like it never happened

This hockey romance is unlike any of it's kind I've read before.

This book opens up with our hero Max and our heroine Rory sharing a the same flight. The plane crashes and Max consoles a very anxious Rory who fears plane rides. After sharing a passionate night in a hotel in the aftermath, the two enter into a forbidden romance when they find out that Rory is the assistant GM to the hockey team.

Apparently, that synopsis is only the tip of the iceberg. The story held an air of mystery with the romance and took so many twists and turns. Things get a tad bit dramatic in the end but it had me on the edge of my seat. That together with the cute (all the cuddles!) and surprisingly super steamy romance made for a book that I greatly enjoyed.

If you are looking for a relatively unique, suspenseful spin on a hockey romance, this is one worth checking out. I'll definitely be moving on in this series!

I was loving this book until there was a “false sexual assault narrative.” I won’t read or support those stories. It’s a damn shame that’s where the author took the story.
