This book had me in a chokehold as soon as I started. I couldn’t and didn’t want to stop reading it. I kept thinking about the book everytime I had to do other things and can’t believe it’s over! I WILL be continuing the series. It can only get even better from here!

This was honestly such a mindfuck for me. It is most definitely not a romance, not that it claimed to be. I hate Raum. He has no redeeming qualities.  I feel horrible for Leah. She's got half a case of stolkholm syndrome half a case possession. It's a will ride from start to finish. On to book two!

A wholly unique take on the dystopian genre! I love the biblical elements as well as the world-building regarding the demons and their occupation of the human world. Leah is a complex and compelling FMC, and you can't help but root for her. Raum as a MMC definitely keep you on your toes, and you never know what you're going to get from him. The enemies to lovers (and back again) is strong and impactful here and really propels the plot forward. Book 1 ends on quite the cliffhanger so I can't wait to start Book 2!

This book is a really unique take on an apocalyptic world. After the bees follow our main character Leah in a world that has descended into chaos after bees go extinct. Once the bees disappeared plague and demons took over earth. This is a dark fantasy so check trigger warnings before reading. That being said I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the second!

Downloaded and read this book in on night! Easy to follow, but the plot keeps you guessing. So many times throughout the read I was caught by surprise with what was happening, half against and half for the scene unfolding.

I've always been a fan of post apocalyptic story lines, and this one is definitely one worth reading.
It takes on a plot like none I have read before. This dark fantasy blurs the lines between good and evil, and had me even rooting for evil at times. It's a dystopian fiction with spice that I've not really encountered in a book before.

While the characters acted in ways that took me by surprise frequently, I think that makes for a good read. The ending leaves off in such a way that has the reader waiting in anticipation for the next book.

I like that the characters are realistic, *SPOILER* oftentimes in these books with demons, the demon is almost "too likable" if that makes sense, and it's easy to fall for the "bad guy". You can see why the character would love the demon, he nice and has a "soft side". This book is NOT like that. The demon does not have a soft side. He uses the main character, torments her and reminds her constantly that he has been "kind" to her, when in reality he has not. I'm not sure how the author does it, but somehow I still found myself wanting Leah to be found by Raum. I don't like the demon, I don't rationally want him to succeed, but a little part of me... still wants him to be find Leah, to see where he takes her and what happens.

If you like dark fantasy with blood and gore and spice, a lot of spice, I can't see a reason you would not enjoy the plot.
