Professor Hunter....sigh. This relationship has been a whirlwind, a brick wall on my chest, and lead weights tied to my shoes.

I have been wildly happy, completely turned on, and then utterly devastated. I have been anxious, fearful, and aggravated. I was ecstatic, giddy, and at peace. If there was an emotion I didn't experience throughout this series, I can't possibly imagine what was lacking.

In the previous book, Penny was dealt a crushing blow. She left aimless and depressed at the opening of the novel. Unfortunately her day is not going to get better soon...

With too much drama, not enough trust, and insecurities running rampant it would be a miracle if they ever get married.

But friends don't let friends ruin their lives, so...

I finished with a smile and hope. I hope to hear more in the future about all their friends. And of course Professor Hunter and Penny, I will always be on the lookout for them.

two stars! ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ i definitely was not anticipating the plot for this and it caught me off guard, which was the only reason why i finished this.

all four of these books are like the same damn thing bc none of these characters learn from their actions. the miscommunication/lack of communication is literally suffocating in this series

Honestly I could not put this book down and I read the whole series in 1 weekend. I personally loved Penny and how she handled a lot of the situations she was put in however a few times James(Professor Hunter) definitely made me want to punch him for being so selfish. I definitely had many wtf moments with the whole series, but it was a good ending. At least where I ended the series which was on Devotion. I just felt it was a lot of the same thing back and forth happening and felt I could end the series with that one being the last one. I have really found a love for professor/student relationships because of this series.

2 stars feels generous here. I loved the characters from Temptation, but this just felt drawn out and OTT ridiculous. It also felt so unrealistic and it took me out of the story several times which is never a good thing when reading. I felt like the H and h never really resolved the main issues at play or they just kept getting recycled. There were scenes I really liked and enjoyed, but overall I was just a bit frustrated.

It almost felt like if it had been shorter, tighter and less OTT it would have worked better overall.
