So, Voldemort has moved on to butchering gods now? Very interesting.
Esad Ribic’s artwork is wonderful and so is Ive Svorcina's coloring. The story has made me want to pick up more Thor comics too, so, job well done.

A few things make this much-longer-than-a-standard-collected graphic novel compelling; a storyline that slides back and forth through time and allows for displaced Thors to interact with each other, stunning artwork, and finally, a villian with a compelling argument. Much in the way that Magneto can play the "lived through the Holocaust" card whenever people ask about his motivation, so too can Gorr the God Butcher make you think about the usefulness of gods who do not consistently help, inspire, or answer prayer. More effective as a philosopher than as a completely scary baddie, he ultimately does not disappoint, and congratulations to Jason Aaron for bringing the subtext front and forward and making it work.
