Erik can be my saviour any day!

I could not put this down. Even though Erik and Alex were like firestorm of craziness, I loved every second. This one just hooked me in completely.
I loved the hate to love and even through Erik's attempts to push Alex away, she didn't take any crap off him.

I just really, really, really loved these two so much!

I have seen a pattern lately in the books I have picked to read. They all have soemtbjbg dark and twisted about them. Savior did not disappoint! The book was brilliant from start to finish. That ending! The next book is the story I have been waiting on!!!

Cheese and crackers, just holy moly cadets, Savior is my everything. There, I admitted it. Just the synopsis had me in a tizzy. And yes, this is definitely what you might be thinking, it is a darker side of Pretty Woman for all my pulp culture fanatics and I gotta say, I am loving Alexandra as she steps in those high stilettos to bat for the fictional Vivian Ward. Bring on the rich hero to save the damsel with all the oozy sexual romance possible!

Warning, I only stating this for the sanity purpose of those who like to read intermingled series in order, this is part of a standalone series. No, you don't have to read Voyeur or Lovers first, I personally highly recommend it though - you won't be disappointed. Every character will blow your mind and steal your heart one gut wrenching feel scene at a time.

Whew.... now that that is out of the way, lets chat the characters in Savior shall we?

Oh boy did I fall head over heels for every character, and tits did I fall hard for Erik. He is definitely a prick, the most delicious alpha prick; Alexandra said it best - he is an arrogant prick with a hero complex. I am just a sucker for these personalities, specifically when they are just written so fiercely. I mean it, Erik was my imperfect caveman dynamic wrapped in this amazing fictional male lead. He definitely had some shadows, many internal struggles that came more to light as Alexandra started to peel away his bandages. When he wasn't being this cold, malice human, pushing everyone at a distance, he was this raw human who honestly needed attention.

And speaking of getting Erik attention, Alexandra swooped in with her innocence that just broke every rule. Alex was definitely a damsel, but where she needed saving - appearing meek or weak minded - she was truly a strong female character. Her resilience was empowering if I am being honest, she truly had the shitter side of the bucket in life, but her charismatic personality, sweet nature purity and that giddy smile that brought light to everything was amazing. But I really did enjoy her innocent side, I know, this is surprising considering the more forceful female character leads I swoon for, but something about Alex's composition just struck something in my heart; I cried for her, I laughed with her, I connected with her character so easily it was hard not to love everything about her.

But that romance?! Oh my stars, can we say hot hot hot? Because the tension between these Alexandra and Erik was melting off the pages. From the moment Erik saves Alex, there is this constant push and pull between their wills, and honestly a lot of the age gap really plays such a pivotal role on their romantic feelings. Alexandra is very much nineteen while Erik is thirty-one, so spoiler warning, don't like decade age gaps this might not be for you, but honestly it was beautifully played out.

Alex is very much innocent, she is naive and honestly even with knowing what she does of the world, she is still very much sheltered minded, thinking the best from everyone, even the one person who hurts her most. This really tugs on Erik throughout their emotional build. He pushes her away at every advance, even fondling women in her eyesight just to prove a point that he isn't right for her.Truthfully though this allows both to mentally grow as they push at each others patience. There is an immediate attraction on both sides and this blows up in their faces constantly. Again, just flipping hot. I cannot admit how much I liked their emotional tug-a-war, it was explosive as it was entertaining.

I seriously cannot get enough of all things Fiona Cole, I don't know if you have noticed that yet or not. I am a diehard fan of this entire standalone series she is doing. I loved Voyeur, obsessed over Lovers and now Savior. At this point this author cannot do anything wrong by my standards. She has taken some of my favorite genres and brought such a darker, more sensual refreshing light to each one and I am drooling. Drooling I tell you. If you enjoy age gaps, interesting plot twists that do not overshadow the romance and a little office fun, maybe some best friends to lovers, you need to check out these books, they are intermingled of the most scrumptious buildups.

And now I have to wait for Another, I am absolutely ripping my hair out one torturous strand at a time as I wait to finally get Carina's well deserved book! Ten more days comrades, ten more days.

Spice level: 🌶️🌶️/5
This book was definitely not similar to the other voyeur books I read. It was a lot less spice and way more plot. This doesn't really fit well in series. I still enjoyed it but didn't love it.
Spoiler
For someone who professional saves women, he's quite a cunt to survivors. He's constantly shaming her like she had any other choice meanwhile she was starving. Okay so he saved her and then they had sex, I don't know how she wasn't triggered at all. Like it perfectly aligned with what was happening to her while she was SAd. I think that's the point because she feels safe? Also this constant thing of her bleeding for her first time is pissing me off.

Quotes+my comments:
Spoiler
I hoped no one else saw through me as easily as Ian did. Not that it mattered, because no way was I giving in to anything with Alexandra.
(Famous last words)

“I’m not someone to be repaid with sex.” He sat me aside and stood, turning to look down at me. “Have some respect for your body.”
(That's such a horrible thing to say. She just wanted to say thank you and didn't know how)

“Maybe it was your ploy all along. Maybe you’re not even a virgin at all. This is just your way of guilting some poor man into giving you so much more than a measly ten grand. You sure didn’t feel like a virgin when you rubbed yourself all over me as you came.”
(Am I supposed to like this fucking guy?)

She wore a pair of running shorts and a t-shirt. No bra. Because why would fate be nice and at least put her in a damn bra?
( Why would she wear a bra with house clothes?)

“You’ll stay if you want your money. I bought you.”
(What. The. Fuck.)

“The truth is, Princess, I won’t be any softer. I’ll take what you offer and love every cry you let free. The only difference is that I’ll make you like it and beg for more.”
(He gives me the ick.)

“You’re an arrogant prick with a hero complex.”
(Queen shit)

I would  never  sleep with Erik Brandt.
(Famous last words)

“Don’t Alexandra. I told you not to romanticize this.”
(I think he's bipolar.)

“I had to prove a point. Just because I made you come and touched you doesn’t mean we’re anything. I make a lot of women come. They at least have the decency to return the favor.”
(You're such a dick! Every day I wake up and I hope you're dead!)

My wants didn’t matter. They never had.
(He's such an asshole for making her believe this)

Too bad for her, because I played the game better than anyone and she would learn that if she lashed out, I would lash out harder.
(Motherfucker you are the problem she's lashing out because of you! Idiot)

He didn’t want to have me, but no one else could have me either.
(Fok)

I want to look down and see the blood of your innocence coating me and know it’s mine.
(That's insane)

But it was drowned out by the door crashing open. Erik’s tall broad form filled the door, his face a mask of rage as he took in the scene. His body tense and muscles tight, right before he exploded into action.
(Fucking hell. I'm crying.)

“Won’t we be late for work?” “I called the boss, he said it was fine,” I said with a wink, eating up her every smile.
(I'll admit it, this was cute.)

killing Bill.
(I love that movie)

I know what you’re thinking. I can’t stay here because I’ll be a working college girl. How am I supposed to get work done when Erik will be wanting sex with me all the time? How will I fight off such a sexy beast? Don’t worry, this door has a key lock just for you. I love you. Don’t go. P.S. You sleep like the dead. I don’t know how you didn’t wake up with all the noise. Must be because I’m such a sexy beast who wears you out.
(Blushing and kicking my feet)

O livro não é ruim, mas teria sido muito melhor sem o plot de abuso e o trauma da mocinha senso magicamente curado com rola. Depois disso desandou demais pra mim.
