A good read, fantastic even. The writing style is classic Jeffrey Archer and it will keep you hooked. But one thing i dreaded about was that i couldn't really connect with the protagonist that much. It felt like he was kept at a distance and i didn't rely root for him.

Jack tar was probably the only character i liked. And he was the most sensible and rational one. Another thing i absolutely hated was the misogyny in this book tho i think it was intentionally writen that way but i still cringed HARD on all those scenes especially the one in which Hugo Barrington punched Masie. </Spoiler>
