So far this series is just okay. I like it, however I find it quite repetitive. A lot of the inner and outer dialogue of the characters is repeated time and time again. A lot of the plot feels heavily inspired by other very popular romantasy books, which although not bad, just again feels like I’ve read it before just with different characters. I will likely read the next book in the series when it is released because I am interested to see how the story finishes.

Harper L. Woods has a way about her writing that makes me go through all my emotions. I can be happy and laughing and the next page I’m sad and angry for the characters choices  to. I remember when I picked up the first book of the series and almost dropped it before it really started to get good. It has the perfect blend of plot and spice. (However if spice is not your thing I recommend skipping this book.) This book is more filler to really meet Mabs character and see how she rules so the reader is able to create a feeling towards her and how she continues to try a wedge between Estrella and Caldris. The series tends to be a bit repetitive but I’m overall glad I kept going and it'll be a bittersweet to see how it all comes to an end.

Loved the book - however, the spelling, grammar, and editing were atrocious. There were some places I had to re-read several times to figure out what was meant.

Read trigger warnings before this book. It’s very dark. Not alot of hope. I’m unwell. I loved it though.
