Such a fun read!! Glad I waited until all of the hype died down because the writing was engaging and built a nostalgic, crazy world without having long, dragging exposition. The interview style was perfect for the genre.

this book really left me speachless and the end broke my heart.
i loved the interview style. it was such an unique way to tell the story of daisy and the band.
at some points it was so heartbreaking and it was such a real book. no real happy endings, no perfect band, no perfect love.
the plot twist at the end was so surprising and i realized that the book wasn‘t about daisy or the band. it really was about (SPOILER!?) camila.

I really enjoyed this book. It moved quickly because of the interview style of writing. Every character was well written and the storyline felt real from each of their perspectives. The only thing that I thought was unnecessary was the little plot twist at the end about who the interviewer was. It was cute, but the surprise blew over quickly and distracted from an ended that was good without that piece of information.

“That’s how it was back then. I was just supposed to be the inspiration for some man’s great idea. Well, fuck that… I had absolutely no interest in being somebody else’s muse. I am not a muse. I am the somebody. End of fucking story.“

I devoured this book in two days. I highlighted over twenty quotes. I’m talking about it with everyone I make contact with. This is what a five star book should feel like. So incredibly worth the hype!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK. Taylor Jenkins Reid has this way of story telling that makes me not even want to reach the end, because then that would mean I have to stop.

Finally got down to reading this! I can totally understand why this is one of TJR’s most popular books but my heart is still with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Carrie Soto is Back. This was also fun to read but I was initially a bit lost, especially at the start, because of the “interview” format. I wasn’t expecting the format to continue for whole book so it was such an interesting way of storytelling! Makes you feel like you’re watching everything unfold right in front of you. Can’t wait to watch the drama series.

Just wanna say my fav character in this book is Camilla, I just want to give her hugs and be friends with her :(
