Surprise! In this series that I like, I like this one too.

This is perhaps the best one on the bunch, tho. Behemoth is back-to-back action from the beginning, and Westerfeld is at his peak as he weaves together threads of war, revolution, scandal, and secret. Westerfeld and Thompson make the streets of 1914 Istanbul come alive, alternating detailed pencil drawings and lush description. This book contains some of my favorite action set pieces in the series, and as with the first one, each time I reread it I feel a huge smile splitting my face. If it's not for you, that's ok, but it's definitely, definitely for me.
