I don’t think this book is something I could describe, but i’ll try. It was the most beautiful thing i have ever read, replacing my favorite book i’ve had for the last two and a half years. Maybe i loved it so much because i felt i related to the characters so much, longing for just a small something more in life, if it might feel complete, for just a moment even.
The story the book wove had all kinds of emotions to. Want, love, sadness, bitterness, lust, anger, need, frustration, eagerness, hatred, and so much more.
The beauty of this book too, lit does not finish Addie’s story, it is not over, there is still more to it, for i don’t think it will ever be over, not really.
I can’t describe this book more than this, and i don’t think i want to. it deserves to be experienced, not told about.
Spoiler (It was funny too, because when i finished it, i have expected Luc to be standing behind me.)

I've loved this book so much while reading it that I didn't want it to end. So, yes, I began reading it in 2022 and just finished it in 2023. It felt like one of those stories that you have to savor slowly, and that's what I did. I love this book and I'll think about it for a long time.

This book was so well written. There could have been literally nothing happening and I would have still continue to read. That’s how beautiful the writing was. As for the story, I cried, I laughed, I smiled. I fell in love with Addie and I will be thinking about this book until the day I die. I will, without hesitation, read all the other books from the talented V.E. Schwab.

“What is a person, if not the marks they leave behind?”

The beginning to the middle was so slow it took me weeks to get through it - not that I was bored but for some reason, I always get sleepy. It was pretty much text heavy so in return, my eyes was also heavy. Not that it stopped me from continuing the story. It was indeed very interesting but there were alot of small details that could have been left out (that’s what I thought at first).

After the middle mark, I was hooked. I’ve brought the book everywhere I go in case I have time for a read because I wanted to know how it goes. Would Addie and Henry have a happy ending or what? You just have to keep reading it. She told stories of the past and how she got thru them all - including the war too. What really shocked me was the love story between Addie and Luc because that was a fast ball I did not see coming. But after getting past that, I realized that it was going there and I was just blinded by Henry.

The ending though. Addie, you stubborn girl. I’d love to be like you one day.

(I love love love how this really feel like it was written by Addie herself.)
