It was an ok read for me. Kept my interest throughout but wasn’t a wow type of book. Definitely had turns and twists I did not expect

I know I’m in the minority, but this one felt like such a slog for me. Every single chapter (seriously, every chapter) alludes to secrets and pasts, but with no subtlety or finesse. The approach and writing felt lazy in that way. And just so much of it…as another reviewer said, I developed “anticipation fatigue.” By the end when I finally found out a) who actually died and b) who did it, I no longer cared about either reveal because I didn’t care for any of the characters. And the reveals just weren’t all that interesting. It just lacked the skillful plotting and unique twists that so many authors have brought forth lately. The only reason I finished the book was because of my reading challenge. But this was almost a DNF for me.

Could’ve been a DNF until the 200s. Poor writing in the beginning and too many characters but did not see the twist coming at the end.

I always enjoy Lucy Foleys books, but this one was a little slow to start for me. There were a lot of characters and it was missing a little bit to me. The ending seemed somewhat rushed and i think there were some points that i would have enjoyed being explained further however… the gasp i gusped when it was revealed that heather pushed Katie out of the way! Crazy

This book was low key boring. The red herring was so random, and the ending was predictable. And then the very end felt like she was trying to fit in way too much.
It wasn’t a bad read, but it wasn’t a good one.
