I read all these books when they first came out and I was just a teeny bopper way back in the 90s. I still love rereading them and I lend then to every teenager I know how likes to read

Five stars for Rashel. God I love that girl. 5th book of the Night World series, she is an orphan badass freaking ninja that kills all the bad vampires searching for the one that killed her mom and best friend. On her birthday. Ouch...
Spoiler But then she meets Quinn, fearsome vampire of the Night World and she discovers they're each others soulmate GAH! As if puberty and vampire killing wasn't enough!
Dark Angel is pretty good. "Angel" is a very good character, but since the beginning I could tell what was going to happen to Gillian and all. Soulmate is a good one, Hannah is a very old Soul. And her soulmate is none other than the first made vampire and she has a bad blood feud with Maya, the first of them all vampires
Spoiler the ending scene with Maya trying top change Hannah into a vampire was really cool, given that that would end the cycle of her coming bakc and then Maya would have Thierry all to herself as a price, tough luck when Thierry dismisses her with his heartfelt love towards Hannah

2016, still love Rashel.

I didn't think this book was as good as the first book. It was awfully cheesy.

To start, Dark Angel was kind of weird and the characters weren't likeable at all. Gillian, who's life was saved by a 'guardian Angel,' blindly follows every request and demand that this 'Angel' makes. What a pushover.

In The Chosen, Rashel the Vampire Slayer meets her soulmate, the super evil vampire, Quinn.

Finally, in Soulmate, Hannah learns that she is the reincarnated soulmate of the very first made-vampire, and Lord of the Night World.

"He's Lord of the Night World. He's powerful... and evil," Hannah whispered. "He's lived for thousands of years." She added, almost absently, "I'm the one who's been reincarnated."

On the bright side, something seems to be going on with Circle Daybreak. Hopefully the third and final book would focus more on Circle Daybreak and the reformation of the Night World.

I am falling more and more in love with the Night World stories. "Soulmate" was so far the most impressive one of all.
It's a very creative way Smith puts Old Souls into a vampire story.
