A fun, punchy read with lots of lovely descriptive passages which build the scene beautifully. A nice introduction to mystery novels for the younger reader. I read this because ny 9 year old had enjoyed it so much and was desperate for me to read it - he also recommends the other books in the series!

Cram packed with action and high stakes, this has to be one of my favourite instalments in this series thus far. So much fun!

The ending was a bit ridiculously over-the-top.

Outstanding! This series gets better and better and I have loved every one. Jam-packed with adventure, trouble and panic at times. Brilliant.

Review:

Good, but not as good as the previous book

Review previously placed on my blog:

I have read The Arctic railway assassin by M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman. This is the sixth book in the Adventures on trains series. I listened to the audiobook. Read this for the Final Book Support Group Readathon. This is a middle grade mystery series.

I enjoyed this one, but not so much as the fifth book in the series. Not sure what the difference exactly is, but this one felt different for me. Caught up with this series, so very glad with that.
