It wasn't bad, but was not particularly remarkable as well. I almost gave it 4 starts because the characters ACTUALLY communicated and after reading 1 too many miscommunication tropes it was like a vacation. But objectively it feels more like 3.

I'm super sad that I ended up seriously disliking this book.

I think my main issue was that the book was not at all what I was expecting based on the blurb. I thought it was going to be an enemies-to-lovers situation with a Hockey Player vs. a Figure Skater - they literally barely disliked each other for about 20 pages.

I also thought the Hockey Player having to fill in and skate with the Figure Skater was going to be the driving plot of the book, but it was over in less than 50 pages - we barely saw them skate together and they were already together before that happened.

I think they just got together too soon, and all the drama was very unnecessary. Also, the epilogue totally went against an important conversation the characters had - a conversation that only last two pages and could have been cut for the epilogue to be better.

Pros: I like the side characters and all the friendships that existed, but I don't think I liked them enough to read more from the series.
