I consider this course an introductory survey. The author may have addressed the audience in such terms, but I cannot remember. On the whole, this was a wonderful dive into what it takes to consider and create fiction.

I've read this too many times to count and everything there are new takeaways. This book is direct, engaging and detailed in its instruction on how to construct a story at all levels.

I felt this was a fun and solid refresher on a lot of good fiction writing tips and examples. While not the most exciting or different approach to teaching the content, this course does a great job at offering a very well-rounded variety of examples. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to learn some writing fundamentals or needs a refresher.

There's a lot of really good stuff in here. I, however, wasn't really engaged until the last 6 lectures or so, where he started going over what ai considered to be "new material" or in other words, stuff I hadn't already learned.

I listened to this twice. There is a lot to think about here. Not just ideas for how to write better fiction, but also how to read fiction and analyze what you see.
