this book is full of action however I think the romance in it is poor and rubbish and books should either have romance in a book that's really good or have none at all also that the characters in this book hardly relate to each other. it's action though makes you want to read on and the plot is well written there may need to be a development in the characters as you don't really care the main character unlike other books when you get attatched to a character. I like how they use lanas point of view and how she survives from the cyotes and others point of view as sam's point of view for the whole book would be boring. I think this book would be best as a stand alone and I wouldn't be able to read the whole series of gone. A brilliant idea for a book though! So those who like gore (espiecally gore WARNING THERE ARE VERY GORY SCENES) and action this is the book for you.

Wow! What a great concept! It's like, under the dome meets xmen! Or something like that... I'm still left wondering what the darkness is. They came up with a conclusion as to why the FAYZ is up, but I don't think it's actually 100%. Is the darkness part of L.P? Is it the functioning part of his brain? I think that's a little cray cray to believe, and the darkness clearly has a lot to do with it, gobbling up little kiddies for something! Lots of questions! I give this about a 4.5, because by the end I somehow felt like it dragged on a little, compared to the first half which was so fast paced and full of action. Kind of like when you're at the movies, and you think so much has happened the movies over, only to have it keep playing for a few more hours. My attention span ain't that good, that's why it took longer to read because I decided to read other things in between. Oh well!

Pretty good read (thanks erica!) Kept me interested and just reserved the next one at the library.
