Starting to get worried about what I’ll read after book 9 … Just keep loving these characters more and more!

I will always be fond of this series, and I'm determined to make it to the end, but it has to be said that when even I get sick of long journeys occasionally punctuated by events (as a fan of many other fantasy series that will remain nameless) something has been somewhat lost.
I feel as though the author had so many awesome ideas for how dragons would fit differently in to human societies that she just ferried us around with the semblance of plot to admire them. Not that I didn't hugely enjoy all the different societies once we got to see them, but some more attention to a plot that wasn't just a long arduous journey wouldn't go amiss.
