This book is inspiring, heart-wrenching and heartwarming, enlightening, strong, emotional, and NECESSARY. This book should be mandatory in schools/ universities. I can not begin to understand what Chanel went through, but there were many parts I identified as a woman. By telling going through what she did, letting her statement get published (how I “discovered” her), and then publishing this book, she has been a lighthouse to many people around the world—myself included. Thank you Chanel. I know your name.

A devastating, crucial read. Dense, as every moment is meaningful in a way that always comes back. I was hanging to every word, couldn't stop reading even as it made my stomach sick, my eyes tear, my heart crumple and rebuild.

This book is truly phenomenal. It speaks to the fears of every woman and tells her she is not defined by them. It says our names and who we are is important. It also calls out systemic failure in systems we are taught to trust, saying excuses are not enough. Truth is truth, even when noone cam see it. I hope this book was healing for Chanel and she is able to continue to be a force to be reckoned with for future generations to remember.
