4.5 for this one ❤️

I truly adore this book. From the writing style, which was captivating and very intelligible at the same time, through the plot and the characters, to the format of the story - divided into parts intended for concrete times of James Fry's life - worked great for the story, making it complete and fulfilling.

The story itself, composed of the sea, people with big ambitions and big persistence, were interesting to read about and even though they were pirates, above all, they were humans - with doubts, internal and personal conflicts, and stories. I would still consider Captain Hook as a role model. He showed that you can be ambitious, smart, yet honest with yourself and loyal to your beliefs and dreams. I never saw him as such an interesting persona, but now I would definitely want to have a talk with him about humanity, dreams and pursuing your goals.

Also, I would gladly read the original Peter Pan, to discover what James Barrie's Captain Hook is like. Is he so in love with the sea, just like James Fry was? Is he so fond of annotating every day of a journey, like the captain was? And does he strive for achieving so many seemingly impossible goals?

Many questions, answers - not as much.

(Can you say I got out of practice with writing reviews? Not that I was ever that good at it, but still.)
